Rafael ROCHA DE OLIVEIRA BAPTISTA
FSP Psychologist
Federally Recognized Postgraduate in Psychotherapy, Basel, Switzerland: 2024-2027.
Who am I?
I am Rafael Baptista, born in Itajaí, Santa Catarina, Brazil. I completed my school studies in my hometown before moving to Curitiba, Paraná, at the age of 22. In Curitiba, I began my studies in Psychology and later completed a master's in Social Psychology, focusing on gender and violence. My master's thesis led to a book on Patrimonial Violence published by Editora Juruá.
I interrupted my doctorate in Education due to an early move to Switzerland but continued my research, resulting in the publication of "Gender Education and Sexuality in Basic Education". I am also the author of "Survival Manual for General Relationships - I Am Only Me, If I Am Not You - Psychotherapy, Theory, and Clinical Practice". My experience includes treating patients in dependency therapies and providing individual and group psychological support.
Recently, I joined the Centre Neuchâtelois de Psychiatrie - CNP in Marin-Epagnier, Switzerland, in the Service pour Auteurs de Violence Conjugale (SAVC) program.
Throughout my career, I have dedicated myself to continuous training in various specializations. In 2024, I will begin training as an "Eidgenössisch anerkannter Psychotherapeutin" focusing on adult psychotherapy in Basel-Stadt, Switzerland, as part of the postgraduate studies in psychotherapy (PSP). This advanced training will expand my specialization and ability to offer high-quality psychological care.
